Is there a difference between Training and Teaching? You already know the answer don't you? You also know that 9 times out of 10, when a trainer asks you a question like that the answer is "Yes". And the reason you know that, is because that is how you have been trained since you were in school. That is exactly what I am trying to change in the world of technical and corporate training. Why am I doing this?I got tired of seeing "training" pass off as "teaching" in the corporate setting. You've seen it before. An instructor asks a question that nobody could possibly answer, and the instructor ends up answering it themselves. That's called a "Guess what's in my head..." question, and it isn't very effective at getting you to think or learn. I know this because I was an educator first, and a technophile second. |
Why is there photo of a dog on this site? Simple. Training is for dogs, not people. |
